How to Allow or Block Camera Access in Google Chrome
Block a website from accessing your mic or camera or allow a website to access either
In today's guide, I'll demonstrate how to manage camera access within your Google Chrome browser. Whether you wish to enable, disable, allow, or block camera access for specific websites, I've got you covered. Let's dive right in without delay.
To get started, open your Chrome web browser. Look for the menu icon located at the upper-right corner and give it a left-click. Next, navigate to "Settings" from the dropdown menu. On the left-hand side, you'll find the "Privacy and Security" section. Click on it, and on the right side, locate the "Site Settings" option, specifically under "Privacy and Security."
Now, scroll down to "Permissions" and click on "Camera." If you want to disable or deny websites access to your camera, select the second option. Conversely, if you wish to allow websites to use your camera, opt for the first choice.
That's all there is to it! No need to hit an "OK" or "Save" button. However, if the changes don't take effect immediately, consider restarting your web browser. Your preference should be applied promptly after making the selection.
I hope this step-by-step guide has been helpful to you.
